Despite the pandemic, Michigan State’s basketball programs tried to get the most out of this Thanksgiving holiday.
Both the men’s and women’s teams had virtual Thanksgiving dinners with their family members on Thursdays.
Here’s a look at what Tom Izzo’s team was able to pull off:

Although times have been challenging not getting to see their parents, a virtual surprise visit at our @MSU_WBasketball Thanksgiving Dinner put many smiles on the their faces! So love seeing them smile! Happy Thanksgiving…Truly grateful for the little things this year! 🙌 pic.twitter.com/kqzLeqaGTF

This seems like a nice, heart-felt alternative to normal Thanksgiving plans considering the circumstances.
The men’s team is 1-0 this season so far and will play Notre Dame on Saturday.
Michigan State’s women’s basketball team will play its first game of the season on Friday against Saint Francis.
