Michigan State is looking at some big financial commitments coming out of a 10-win season under Mel Tucker.
In just his second season with the Spartans, Tucker took Michigan State from a 2-5 record during the shortened 2020 campaign to a 10-2 mark and Peach Bowl appearance in 2021. Though they came up just short, the Spartans were in the race for the B1G East all season long.
On Friday morning, Matt Wenzel with MLive.com reported that Michigan State’s Board of Trustees has approved some key financial figures. Among those things are the approval of Tucker’s long-term contract extension and some facility upgrades to Spartan Stadium.
According to Wenzel, those upgrades will focus on the East side of Spartan Stadium and could increase the amount of premium seating.
