Michigan State understands that it’s time to be about it and stop talking about it.

The Spartans welcome Maryland to East Lansing for their B1G opener. Harlon Barnett’s second game at the wheel will take place on Saturday. Barnett is stepping in for Mel Tucker after the university announced its intentions to fire the former Michigan State head coach for cause.

There should be no lack of motivation for the Spartans after suffering a humbling 41-7 loss to Washington in Week 3. This is especially true after the Terps beat the Spartans 27-14 last season.

Michigan State sits at 2-1 coming into the B1G opener.

The green and white have historically handled Maryland well in the all-time series. Michigan State leads the series 10-3. The Spartans have won four out of the last five matchups.

Noah Kim has taken over the starting quarterback role at Michigan following Payton Thorne’s transfer. Kim has 707 yards passing with 5 touchdowns and 1 interception.

Kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday on NBC. Can Michigan State bounce back and beat the Terps?
