A photo that Michigan State running back Connor Heyward will remember forever is also one he won’t let Michigan ever forget.

Recently, ESPN posed a question on Twitter, asking, “What’s a sports photo you’ll remember forever?” Heyward responded with an image that his fellow Spartan teammates and fans will love. It’s an image of the running back falling into the end zone for one of the two touchdowns he scored that afternoon in Ann Arbor.

Heyward finished the day with 2 catches for 15 yards, both of which were touchdowns receptions. He also added 28 yards on 13 carries, helping lead Michigan State to a 27-24 victory.

Michigan State’s 2020 victory over Michigan was the second Heyward enjoyed, with his first coming in 2017.

Heyward totaled 200 rushing and 71 receiving yards in the shortened 2020 season. The Spartans finished 2-5, but the two victories were big ones. Not only did Michigan State knock off in-state rival Michigan, but it defeated an undefeated and No. 8 ranked Northwestern team late in the year.

Many have said that the 2020 season in college football will be memorable for a lot of reasons. Heyward as two.
