Michigan State picked up a commitment from an offensive lineman out of Detroit, Michigan on Wednesday. Offensive lineman Jonathan Slack Jr. will be playing college football in East Lansing.

Slack is from the class of 2023 and is listed as a 3-star OT recruit per the 247Sports Composite. He comes in at 6-foot-3, 280 pounds from Martin Luther King High School.

Slack announced the news from his Twitter account on Wednesday morning.

247Sports has Slack as the 24th-ranked player at his position, and 9th-best recruit from the state of Michigan. While the Spartans will have to wait another year before he can suit up for them, Slack is committed to playing football in East Lansing in the fall of 2023 for now.
