Michigan State linebacker Jordan Turner has been the most consistent defensive player this season and is one of the captains on the team. He has become arguably the best defensive player on the team, as he entered the game against Michigan leading the team with 43 tackles.
However, he was ejected from the game against in-state rival Michigan after being called for targeting. The Wolverines were running the ball when Turner came up from his linebacker position and delivered a big-time hit. The play was reviewed and deemed a targeting penalty.

He had 5 tackles in the game against Michigan, but they just don’t lose him for this game. Because the penalty happened in the 2nd half, he will have to miss the first half of next week’s home game against Indiana.
The Hoosiers remained undefeated this season by defeating Washington by a score of 31-17. Indiana was able to win the game without Kurtis Rourke, who was injured last week and his status for Week 10 is still unclear for the time being.
That kickoff for next week’s game hasn’t been decided yet but will be announced sometime on Sunday.
