Michigan State begins its 2016 season tomorrow night against Furman and has named two extra captains, along with its three captains for the entire season, quarterback Tyler O’Connor, defensive back Demetrious Cox and linebacker Riley Bullough.

Monty Madaris, a senior wide receiver, has caught seven passes for 103 yards so far in his career. Damon Knox, an honorary captain, made 42 career tackles as a Spartan and pursued a career in law enforcement as opposed to seeking an extra year of eligibility.
The season-opening game against Furman will be broadcasted on BTN.
