Michigan State and Oregon have announced a head-to-head series, but the two teams won’t meet in the regular season for over a decade.
On Monday, both schools announced that an agreement had been reached and the Spartans and Ducks will have a home-and-home series in the future. The years?
2029 and 2030.
That’s right, Michigan State and Oregon are planning a series more than 10 years out. But at least they’re well-prepared, right? Plus, this gives fans plenty of time to make travel arrangements.
Michigan State and Oregon have announced another home-and-home series, 2029 in East Lansing and 2030 in Eugene. The two recently played in 2014/15.

Michigan State will host the 2029 matchup on Sept. 8 in East Lansing with Oregon hosting the following year on Sept. 7 in Eugene.
The two teams last had a home-and-home series in 2014 and 2015, splitting the two games. The Ducks won the 2014 matchup in Autzen Stadium 46-27 and the Spartans took the 2015 meeting 31-28 in East Lansing.
All-time, the two teams have played six times and the series is even at 3-3.
