No. 17 Michigan State is off to a solid first-half start vs. Western Kentucky.

Michigan State has started the game with a 42-16 lead at halftime. That is the highest scoring output for the Spartans in a single half of play since 2014, per the BTN broadcast.

Michigan State has accumulated 335 total yards of offense, with 229 coming from the passing game. Quarterback Payton Thorne has thrown for 229 yards and a touchdown on 11 completions and only 3 incompletions.

Sophomore running back Kenneth Walker III has rushed for 85 yards and 3 touchdowns on 14 carries. That tally included an incredible score when he jumped over a defender and dove for the pylon.

Wide receiver Jayden Reed has caught 3 receptions for 102 yards and 1 touchdown. Reed also had a punt return touchdown of 88-yards in the first half.

Michigan State continues to show that they have one of the most well-balanced offenses in the B1G.
