Graduate transfer Anthony Russo has reportedly taken a plea deal Wednesday after being charged with operating while intoxicated.

Russo originally transferred to Michigan State from Temple following the 2020 season. He had 6,237 yards passing with 44 touchdowns and 32 interceptions for the Owls from 2018 to 2020.

All Russo has to do is pay an $800 fine plus any court costs. He was arrested earlier in October.

Russo’s role with the Spartans this season has been as a backup to redshirt sophomore Payton Thorne. Russo was the starter for the majority of his time at Temple.
