Collins’ best season came in Mark Dantonio’s final year with the Spartans while leading Michigan State with 988 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns. Unfortunately, Collins was less effective during the 2020 season while splitting carries with Connor Heyward and Jordon Simmons.
The arrival of Kenneth Walker III in 2021 led to the sparse usage of Collins last season. Collins finished 2022 second on the Spartans with 318 yards and tied for the team lead with 6 rushing touchdowns.
