It is just about time for another season of B1G football!
Minnesota, Northwestern, and Purdue will get things started for the conference on Thursday, but Michigan State will see its first action Friday night. The Spartans are gearing up to take on Utah State in Week 1, and fans can now have a better idea of how the team will look come kick-off time.
MSU officially released the Week 1 depth chart with a number of familiar faces throughout. QB Brian Lewerke, RB LJ Scott, and receivers Darrell Stewart and Felton Davis III are back to lead the offense.
On the other side of the ball, Andrew Dowell and Joe Bachie are back to lead a Spartans defense that was much improved in 2017. One position battle to continue to keep an eye on is for the SAM LB spot. The depth chart currently lists Tyriq Thompson and Brandon Bouyer-Randle as potential starters.
Regardless of how they line up, fans will be excited to see the Spartans take the field to begin another season under head coach Mark Dantonio! Friday’s kick off is set for 7 pm EST on BTN.
