Michigan State reveals depth chart ahead of Illinois game, leading receiver not listed

Michigan State is 4-4 overall and in the last three weeks, has played one game: against Penn State.

The Spartans have had two byes and are now ready to face Illinois on Saturday, Nov. 9 at home. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on FS1.

During the Penn State game on Oct. 26, the Spartans not only lost the football game, but lost its leading wide receiver — Darrell Stewart — to an undisclosed injury.

Ahead of the game against the Fighting Illini, Michigan State revealed its latest depth chart:

As you can see, Stewart is not listed. Neither is starting center Matt Allen.

On Tuesday, Spartans coach Mark Dantonio gave an update for both Stewart and Allen:

“I expect them back,” he said.

At some point, Stewart and Allen are expected to return. It’s just a matter of when.
