While former Michigan State standouts Cassius Winston and Xavier Tillman are preparing for the upcoming NBA Draft, current Spartan Aaron Henry is getting ready for his third season playing for head coach Tom Izzo.

Earlier this summer, Henry looked like he would be joining Winston and Tillman in pursuing their NBA dreams, but Henry ultimately made the decision to not go into this year’s draft and return to East Lansing.

That decision came back in the early part of August. On Thursday, Henry spoke with reporters about his decision to return.

This appears to be a smart move, considering Henry did not have a chance to showout in March Madness as the 2020 tournament was canceled due to the COVID pandemic. The 2020-21 season will now be a chance for Henry to fill in part of what Winston did and elevate his game. Right now, he is slated as a second-round pick in some mock drafts.

It appears that there is a lot of upward movement available for Henry. The question will be if he can get there this season with the Spartans.
