Michigan State will have the services of 2 of its top skill-position players on Saturday night against No. 25 USC, with wide receiver Nick Marsh and leading rusher Makhi Frazier expected to play, according to a report by ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Friday.
Marsh suffered a leg injury in last week’s victory over Youngstown State, while Frazier suffered a lower-body injury in the Week 3 game. But, according to the report, both have been cleared to play for Michigan State in the road game against USC that kicks off at 11 p.m. ET on FOX.

Marsh, who leads the Spartans in catches (16), receiving yards (194) and receiving touchdowns (3) this season, was off to a flying start last week with 6 catches for 94 yards in the first half. But he missed the final 30-plus minutes of the game after getting injured.
Meanwhile, Frazier rushed for 103 and 81 yards, respectively, in Michigan State’s first 2 games before getting off to a slow start last week against Youngstown. He had just 12 carries for 22 yards with a touchdown before suffering his injury, which like Marsh put his status for Week 4 in doubt.
But it appears that the 2 sophomore standouts will be back in the fold for Michigan State on Saturday night in the matchup of 3-0 teams. The Spartans will be playing their Big Ten opener.
