Michigan State to retire Draymond Green’s No. 23

Draymond Green had an incredibly illustrious career at Michigan State, and head coach Tom Izzo announced the Spartans will be honoring him this season.
During a Dec. 3 showdown with No. 4 Duke, the Spartans will officially retire Green’s No. 23. A four-year player at Michigan State, Green wore No. 23 with the Spartans before also donning it for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA.
Michigan State Basketball shared the announcement:
2⃣3⃣ will hang in the rafters forever as we retire @Money23Green's No. 23 on December 3rd 💚

Green finished his Spartan career with 1,517 points, 1,096 rebounds, 425 assists, 180 steals, and 116 blocks. During his time in East Lansing, Green was a part of three regular-season B1G titles, one B1G tournament title, and two Final Four teams.
