Spartans safety Xavier Henderson has been enjoying himself at fall camp thus far this year and he talked about it to the local media on Wednesday.
One of his quotes was put out onto the Spartans Twitter account for football and included a couple of pictures and graphics as well.

Henderson says, “The camp grind is where you find out who’s about it and who isn’t. It also gives you a chance to look in the mirror and find out what you need to work on. It’s been fun so far seeing what kind of team we have and how we can get better.”
He’ll be going into his senior season with the Spartans for 2021 and is looking to build off of what he’s done the previous 2 years. In 2020, Henderson recorded 41 tackles (24 solo) with 1 pass defended. For 2019, his numbers were even better as he had 83 tackles (56 solo) with 2 interceptions and 6 passes defended.
He’ll get his first chance to shatter those numbers this season when the Spartans open up their 2021 campaign with a matchup against Northwestern on Sept. 3.
