Special teams can help get the momentum back. When undefeated Michigan fumbled the ball on the 3-yard line just before halftime with Northwestern, the Wildcats had the momentum heading into the half down just 10-7.

But Wolverines running back Blake Corrum capped a 7-play, 75 yard drive to open the half and put Michigan up 17-7.

The Wildcats missed a field goal, and forces a Wolverines punt on the next two drives, but a blocked Northwestern punt by Michigan wide receiver Cornelius Johnson while on the punt block defense setup a 13-yard touchdown run from Hassan Haskins put the Wolverines up 24-7, and pretty much closed the door on a Northwestern upset.

DJ Turner intercepted a Ryan Hillinski pass on the next drive to set up another TD from Haskins, to put the Wolverines up 33-7 late in the game.
