Mickey Joseph is getting his team ready for Week 3. The Nebraska Cornhuskers released a pretty cool video of the interim coach during his first turn leading the team in practice.

The Huskers appear to be pretty animated here. And the B1G champions in practice. It’s all hype to fans until Nebraska can secure some wins on the field.

The Huskers have been one of the nation’s leading storylines after firing head coach Scott Frost. The breaking point for Frost was a 45-42 loss to Georgia Southern. He held an anemic 16-31 (.340) record in Lincoln at the time of his termination.

Will things turn around for Joseph?

Prior to Nebraska, Joseph was the associate head coach and wide receivers coach at Louisiana State University. Joseph also was the head coach at Langston University from 2011-2012.

Nebraska fans might throw him a parade if he can defeat No. 6 Oklahoma on Saturday. Sooner quarterback Dillon Gabriel has thrown for 529 yards and 5 touchdowns to 0 interceptions. Husker quarterback Casey Thompson comes into the game throwing for 866 yards and 4 touchdowns to 3 interceptions.

Let’s see if Thompson and company can rise up to the challenge for their new coach.
