Mickey Joseph will be coaching in his first game since Nebraska firied head coach Scott Frost. It will be against former Big 12 conference foe in No. 6 Oklahoma this Saturday.
Coach Joseph talked to B1G Network in preparation for Oklahoma.
“I think they’re in a good state of mind right now. I expressed to them that tough times don’t last, tough people do. We need to prepare, it’s been a tough week.”

He went on to say this about the season, and if the Oklahoma-Nebraska has been brought up:
“We spoke about that we have 9 games left,” said Joseph. “These kids aren’t old enough to understand the rivalry. I don’t won’t them focusing on the rivalry. They’re all rivalry games to us.”
Oklahoma is 46-36-3 over Nebraska all-time. Nebraska and Oklahoma faced each other for the first time in 11 seasons as Nebraska lost 23-16 in Norman last season. The last time Nebraska beat Oklahoma was in 2009 with a 10-3 score.
