Mike Hart is expected to return to Michigan’s sideline against Penn State on Saturday, per Big Noon Kickoff’s Rob Stone. It’s unclear at this time what his role will be, however.
Stone announced Hart’s return to the program on Big Noon Kickoff, which is at the Michigan-Penn State game. Hart collapsed on the sideline in last week’s game against Indiana and was rushed to a local hospital in Indiana.
Per @CFBONFOX, Michigan running backs coach and run game coordinator is expected to be on the sideline today after collapsing and reportedly suffering a seizure at Indiana a week ago.
Great to see.

When he was carted off the field, there was a great level of concern for his health. There was a momentary pause in the action to check on his condition as the medical staff at the game tended to him. Fortunately, Hart was able to make a full recovery and return for this week’s game.
Hart is Michigan’s running backs coach, but it is not clear if he will coach the running backs today. According to ESPN college football writer Adam Rittenberg, Michigan assistant coach Fred Jackson will step in to coach the running backs as Hart recovers. There are other reports that indicated Hart could coach today’s game against Penn State.

There are other reports out there that are saying that Hart will actually be coaching against the Nittany Lions like this one from The Athletic’s Austin Meek.

For today’s game, Corum and the rest of the running backs will need to establish a strong running game against Penn State’s defense. In last week’s win over Indiana, Corum ran for 124 yards and 1 touchdown.
We’ll see what Hart’s role will be as Michigan and Penn State face off at 12 p.m. ET on FOX.
