Mike Locksley spoke at Maryland’s weekly press conference on Tuesday. Taulia Tagovailoa’s status for Week 10 has been up in the air since the team had a bye in Week 9.

Tagovailoa missed the game against Northwestern with a knee injury. Locksley stated that he was listed as day-to-day heading into the Wisconsin game.

Locksley left nothing up to chance when asked about Tagovailoa and confirmed that he’ll be playing Saturday.

Maryland is going to need Tagovailoa with some tough matchups on the horizon. The Terps face Penn State on Nov. 12 and Ohio State on Nov. 19.

In his absence, Maryland beat Northwestern 31-24 to become officially bowl eligible.

Billy Edwards Jr., the Wake Forest transfer, had 166 yards passing with 1 touchdown. Roman Hemby assumed his role as the team’s lead back once again and had 179 yards rushing with 3 scores on the ground.

Tagovailoa has played seven games for Maryland this season. He has 2,001 yards passing with 16 total touchdowns and 5 interceptions.

Maryland and Wisconsin are set to kickoff Saturday at noon ET on BTN.
