Mike Locksley talks Maryland’s ‘piss-poor’ execution and more following blowout loss to Ohio State

Maryland’s hot 4-0 start to the season has come to a screeching halt with tough matchups against Iowa and Ohio State in back-to-back wins.

This week, it was a visit from the Buckeyes that went south quickly. Ohio State rolled to a 66-point output on the arm of quarterback C.J. Stroud with the Buckeyes rolling big.

Maryland has now given up 117 points in the past two games while scoring just 31. After the game, head coach Mike Locksley met with the media to discuss what he’s seen.

Locksley admitted that he likes what he saw from the Terrapins in terms of their effort, but the execution was simply not there. Additionally, he admitted Maryland has a long way to go before the program is ready to compete with the Iowa’s and the Ohio State’s of the college football world.
