There won’t be many, if any, quarterbacks selected in the upcoming NFL Draft that have accomplished more on a college field than J.T. Barrett. While his name isn’t being thrown around as a top NFL pick, draft analyst Mike Mayock seems to think some team will be getting excellent value in the former Ohio State quarterback.
During a Monday teleconference, Mayock was asked about the NFL potential of Barrett. While the NFL.com draft analyst may not be in love with Barrett’s physical attributes, his comments suggest the Buckeye will have a long career at the game’s highest level.
Here’s what Mayock had to say about Barrett:
I just asked NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock about OSU players. About @JT_theQB4th, he said he has everything you want in QB except "high-level talent." But said he expects him to go late and be in league "for a lot of years."
