Despite a nagging groin injury, Penn State Nittany Lion turned Dallas Cowboy Micah Parsons had a stellar game on Sunday against the LA Rams.

Although Parsons suffered the groin injury and limped to the locker room at halftime, the injury didn’t seem to affect his play much, if at all. With 4 sacks in the first 2 games, Parsons is a huge play maker for the Cowboys.

Parsons got his fifth sack of the year on Sunday, twice taking down Rams QB Matthew Stafford. The LB currently leads the league with 6 sacks. Parsons had 5 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 quarterback hits and a forced fumble against the Rams. Coming into the game, Parsons had 14 total tackles on the season.

Speaking to the media on Monday, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters that he thought Parsons was “impactful” in the win and said that the groin injury is “getting better,” per Pro Football Talk. Asked if Parsons would be practicing this week, McCarthy said he “didn’t know”.

If Parsons is being held back by the injury, it’ll be interesting to see what he can do if he is healthy.
