Mike Sainristil capitalized on a mistake by the Rutgers offense in the B1G opener.

Gavin Wimsatt tried to thread a pass to a Rutgers teammate and Sainristil made a great read on the ball. The rest was history as Sainristil took the pass back for six points.

Things were off to a slow start in Jim Harbaugh’s return to the sidelines on Saturday. It started to click in the second half, however.

Sainristil’s veteran presence was felt on defense in Week 4.

He played in all 14 games for Michigan last season and has been a constant playmaker for Harbaugh. Sainristil had 58 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and 1 interception a season ago.

Sainristil and Michigan will be looking to improve to 4-0 with a win over Rutgers. The Wolverines are in the driver’s seat.
