There was more drama on who was going to win the B1G championship game MVP than the actual game. The Wolverines took care of business on Saturday night against Iowa, winning the game, 26-0.

On the offensive side of the ball, Michigan was led by running back Blake Corum. The senior running back finished with 52 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns.

As has been the case all year, the defense was outstanding and the Iowa offense couldn’t do anything. The Wolverines held Iowa to 155 total yards offense, it was especially bad on the ground. Michigan held Iowa to only 35 yards on 24 carries.

One of those players on defense was defensive back Mike Sainristil, who finished the game with 2 tackles, 1 sack and 1 forced fumble. This performance stood out on Saturday night, and it earned him the MVP of the game.

With the win against Iowa, the Wolverines finish the regular season and will be headed to the College Football Playoff for the 3rd consecutive year. With the Georgia Bulldogs losing to Alabama in the SEC Championship, the Wolverines appear to have the inside track at the No. 1 overall seed.
