Mike Woodson provided updates on Trayce Jackson-Davis and Tamar Bates on Friday morning at a zoom press conference.

Woodson mentioned that Jackson-Davis, senior power forward, “is a little banged up.” Bates is also dealing with an injury. Woodson said Bates has been “sidelined for the last couple of practices.”

Jackson-Davis, one of the Hoosiers’ key playmakers, at 6-foot-9 has been gifted with preseason accolades.

Over the course of the last few weeks, he has been named to the All-Big Ten First Team, the preseason Big Ten Player of the Year, and All-American.

While on the other hand, Bates, standing at 6-foot-5 is looking to get back on the floor after starting off strong in last year’s exhibition game with 25 points off the bench.

Woodson was asked if he expects Jackson-Davis and Bates will be playing in the exhibition game, and stated that he won’t know more information until closer to tipoff.

Indiana will take on Marian University in its exhibition game on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. ET in Assembly Hall.
