Mike Yurcich spoke at Penn State’s Rose Bowl press conference on Friday. The Nittany Lions’ are facing Utah in their bowl game.
Drew Allar has been receiving plenty of attention this season from Penn State fans who want to see him on the field.
Yurcich stated that Allar is going to get plenty of opportunities to practice with the ones leading up the Rose Bowl. However, it has to do with Sean Clifford’s preparation for the big game.
“There will be an opportunity for Drew (Allar) to get some reps with the ones (in bowl practices),” said Yurcich.

Yurcich believes that the culture around Penn State is remarkable. Yurcich mentioned how Olu Fashanu and Hunter Nourzad are both returning in 2023 partly because of the culture that OL coach Phil Trautwein has built.
“All of that speaks to the culture of our program and what Traut’s done,” said Yurcich. “That room has continued to get tougher and more physical.”
