Miles Bridges, former Michigan State star, reaches new deal in felony domestic violence case

Miles Bridges reached a plea deal on Thursday. He will serve three years of probation and no jail time for pleading no contest to a felony domestic violence charge.
According to ESPN’s Baxter Holmes report, the former Michigan State Spartan will complete 52 hours of domestic violence counseling, 52 weeks of parenting classes, serve 100 hours of committee service, and be drug tested weekly, excluding substances prescribed by a doctor.
On Jun. 29, Bridges was charged with felony domestic violence to his wife in front of their two children. He was also charged with two felony counts of child abuse, which he pleaded no contest and were later dismissed.
The Charlotte Hornets extended Bridges a qualifying offer this off-season, but neither side has agreed to the extension, making him a restricted free agent. He has not played at any point during this season.
Last season, Bridges had his best performance in his 4 years in the NBA. Bridges averaged a career-high 20.2 points per game, a career-high 7 rebounds per game, and a career-high 3.8 assists per game.
