Miles Scott housed an interception during the second half of Saturday’s game. Illinois found themselves in a hole and Scott attempted to dig his team out.

Scott jumped in front of the Toledo wideout and took the interception back for a huge score. After that, the comeback was on for the Fighting Illini.

Following the defensive touchdown from Scott, Luke Altmyer connected with Pat Bryant for a 4-yard touchdown to put the Fighting Illini back in front.

Shortly after his first TD for Illinois, Altmyer hit Bryant again for another score. The other one went for nine yards.

Illinois is adjusting to having a new face at quarterback as Tommy Devito is now in the NFL. Altmyer showed why Bret Bielema named the transfer as Illinois’ starting quarterback. The Ole Miss transfer is making plays with both his arms and legs against the Rockets.

Can Illinois hang on?
