Minnesota announced a QB change before the start of the 2nd half against Nebraska.
The team announced that Athan Kaliakmanis would be the starting QB for the 2nd half. Tanner Morgan was 6-of-8 for 34 yards in the 1st half. Morgan did take a big hit late in the 1st half, but there have not been reports of an injury to this point.
Athan Kaliakmanis will start under center for the second half.

Kaliakmanis has had a fair share of action in 2022. The freshman started for the Gophers against Penn State in Week 8.
The Gophers lost to the Nittany Lions 45-17. Kaliakmanis went 9-of-22 for 175 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT in the loss.
Kaliakmanis has also attempted passes against New Mexico State, Western Illinois, Colorado, and Illinois. P.J. Fleck is assuredly hoping that the QB change can ignite the offense. Going into the half, the Gophers had managed less than 70 total yards of offense.
