Shannon Brooks’ 2018 season is over before it ever had a chance to begin.
Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck just announced Tuesday that Brooks will be out for the entire 2018 season following a non-contact injury.
Despite losing Brooks for the season, the Gophers don’t plan on keeping the senior back away from the team. Fleck wants to see his running back become a coach of sorts for the 2018 campaign.
In three seasons of play, Brooks has rushed for 1,728 yards and 17 touchdowns for Minnesota.
P.J. credited Shannon's incredible attitude. Said he just became Coach Brooks for the 2018 season.
