Minnesota is welcoming fans back into its stadium for the first time since Nov. 30, 2019. Fans were unable to attend games last season due to the pandemic.
Ohio State-Minnesota will be the second game of the Big Ten season. The first contest was a 30-22 upset victory by Illinois at home over Nebraska during Week 0.
The Buckeyes will have several key players making their collegiate debuts, including quarterback CJ Stroud. This is the start of Ryan Day’s third full season as Ohio State’s head coach.
Minnesota is hoping to improve upon a disappointing 2020 campaign. The Gophers’ star receiver, Chris Autman-Bell, is questionable after suffering a leg injury during training camp.
Kick off on Thursday night is at 8 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on FOX.
