Jalen Suggs will have a chance to further etch himself into college basketball lore on Monday night as Gonzaga plays for a National Championship vs. Baylor.

But could he have achieved a similar level of success on the football field?

Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck recalled his evaluation of Suggs as a quarterback prospect to Yahoo! over the weekend.

“He was one of the best natural football players I’ve ever watched live,” Fleck told Yahoo!’s Pete Thamel. “He was truly a man amongst boys. He could do whatever he wanted. I think of the phrase ‘at will.’ Anything he wanted it was all ‘at will.’ It looked so easy. I’ve never really seen that.”

Suggs, a Minneapolis native, has highlight tapes to match that praise from Fleck:

Of course, Suggs ended up sticking with basketball. Despite receiving interest from Ohio State to play QB, Suggs was a 5-star prospect in basketball and is now likely to be a top-5 pick in this year’s NBA draft.

Suggs and the Bulldogs face Baylor on Monday night at 9:20 p.m. ET.
