Minnesota has had a chance to stew over its last loss. After getting upset at home by Purdue — during homecoming — the Gophers headed to a bye week.

Now, the Gophers turn to Week 7 and a game against co-B1G West leader Illinois. After taking down Iowa in Week 6, the Illini are tied atop the division with suddenly hot Purdue and Nebraska.

A loss in Week 7 would drop Minnesota further behind the division leaders. However, a win would help them keep pace with those at the top with just one conference loss at the moment.

Ahead of the weekend, Minnesota dropped its uniform for the road trip Thursday night. The Gophers will be rocking their all-white threads this week for the trip to Champaign.

The helmet will also be white with the maroon “M” logo outline on the helmet. It’s a particularly clean look that should pop on the field.

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 12 pm ET on BTN. We’ll see if Fleck and the Gophers can regroup and get the win off the bye.
