Tuesday, the Gophers received a verbal commitment from three-star athlete Miles Fleming. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound versatile player is a native of Columbus, Ohio. He made his announcement with a short message on Twitter.

According to 247Sports’ Composite rankings, Fleming is one of the top 50 players out of the state of Ohio and ranks as the 79th-best athlete of the class. He chose Minnesota over offers from Miami (OH), Air Force, Akron, Eastern Michigan, Toledo, Tulane, Ball State and Kent State.
Fleming brings good versatility and athleticism to Minneapolis. He’ll be able to play multiple roles for the Gophers if he fits a specific need.
Minnesota is now up to 23 commitments in the 2020 recruiting class. The Gophers rank 25th nationally and fifth in the B1G currently.
