Minnesota lands commitment from 3-star TE out of Iowa

Class of 2024 tight end Jacob Simpson committed to Minnesota Sunday, choosing the Golden Gophers over the likes of Illinois, Duke, Texas Tech and Vanderbilt, to name a few.
Simpson represents Minnesota’s 19th commitment of the 2024 class, as well as the 3rd highest-rated prospect. He is the first TE prospect to commit to Minnesota in the 2024 cycle.
He stands at 6-5, 210 pounds and originally hails from Johnston, Iowa, a suburb of Des Moines.

Simpson is considered to be the No. 584 overall prospect in the country, as well as the No. 29 tight end and the No. 6 player from the state of Iowa.
