Minnesota’s 2022 recruiting class has gotten a boost.
This week, the Golden Gophers added a Maryland receiver to the class. Ike White, a 5-foot-11, 185-pound receiver out of Baltimore, released a video on Twitter Wednesday to announce his decision.

White does not currently does not have any ratings in the 247Sports Composite, but the network has ranked him as a 3-star prospect. He’s listed as the No. 25 overall player to come out of Maryland in the 2022 class.
Nine other programs extended an offer to White on the recruiting front. Minnesota landed his commitment over Boston College, Cincinnati, Maryland, UMass, Pitt, Syracuse, Tennessee, Toledo and Virginia Tech.
White’s decision comes a few days after a June 11 visit to the University of Minnesota’s campus.
Minnesota is now up to eight verbal commitments with the 2022 recruiting class. The Gophers rank No. 33 nationally and No. 7 in the B1G.
