Minnesota now has two commitments in its 2023 recruiting class.
Over the weekend, the Golden Gophers received a verbal pledge from in-state offensive lineman Reese Tripp. The Kasson native joins 4-star wide receiver Anthony Brown to commit to PJ Fleck and Co.
“After an amazing visit today with (Minnesota Football, Coach Fleck and Brian Callahan), I’m grateful and blessed to receive a scholarship offer from Gopher football,” Tripp wrote on Twitter. “I’d also like to take the opportunity to announce my commitment to further my academic and athletic career (at Minnesota).”

At this time, Tripp does not have any ratings from 247Sports. The 6-foot-7, 315-pound offensive lineman currently hold four scholarship offers. He picked Minnesota over Iowa State, Central Michigan and Temple.
It’s still incredibly early in the recruiting process, but Minnesota owns the No. 10 class in the B1G and No. 39 nationally in 2023.
