Minnesota and Maryland have made the cut for Ryan Dunn, a 3-star small forward from Freeport, New York.

Dunn released his top eight on Wednesday night. His list includes a number of top college basketball programs, including Virginia, Georgetown, Boston College, Oklahoma State, Pitt and South Carolina.

Dunn is currently ranked as the No. 209 player in the country for the class of 2022, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also ranked as the No. 47 small forward and the No. 5 player from New York in this cycle.

His recruitment has blown up in recent weeks, so perhaps that ranking is about to see a spike. Since mid-July, Dunn has received offers from Pitt, Marquette, Cal, Virginia, South Carolina, TCU, Clemson, Oklahoma State and Maryland.

Minnesota was amongst the first schools to offer Dunn in early July. He’s now scheduled to visit the Gophers’ campus during the first week of September.

There is no timetable for his commitment.
