Minnesota quarterback announces entry into transfer portal

Minnesota quarterback Jacob Knuth entered the NCAA Transfer Portal Saturday, the first day the portal window opened. It will remain open for non-grad transfers until April 30.
Knuth has never seen the field for the Golden Gophers, taking a redshirt in 2022. He announced his intentions to enter the portal 2 days ago, but officially entered Saturday.

Knuth was a 3-star commit in the Class of 2022 out of Harrisburg, South Dakota. Despite being rated as the No. 848 overall prospect, he was the No. 1 player out of the state of South Dakota according to 247Sports composite rankings.
He held a couple offers out of high school, including Iowa, Army, Kansas State and Air Force.
