Minnesota reveals helmet choice for Guaranteed Rate Bowl

Minnesota has revealed its Christmas present to its fans ahead of the Guaranteed Rate Bowl.
On Christmas Eve, the Golden Gophers revealed their helmet selection for their postseason matchup against West Virginia. Minnesota will be sporting a maroon lid with the “Block M” on one side and the cartoon Goldy on the opposite.

Minnesota will be the first B1G team to play this postseason, taking on West Virginia in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl. The Golden Gophers ended the 2021 season with an 8-4 record while the Mountaineers are 6-6.
Kickoff between the two teams is set for Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 10:15 p.m. ET. The game will air on ESPN. The Gophers are winners of 4 straight bowl games they’ve played in, dating back to 2015.
