A Minnesota wide receiver has decided to look for other opportunities to continue his college football career.

Per 247Sports, Harrison Van Dyne has entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal. The sophomore receiver appeared in two games for the Golden Gophers in 2019, making one catch for 39 yards against Maryland. He also saw action against Rutgers.

Van Dyne would be allowed to return to Minnesota, if it was in his best interest.

A native of Stillwell, Kansas, Van Dyne was a member of Minnesota’s 2017 recruiting class. He was ranked as the No. 200 wide receiver in the class and was the No. 9 player out of Kansas. He held nine offers out of high school, including Wyoming, Iowa and Kansas.

The Gophers finished the 2019 season with a 10-2 record and will be heading to the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1. Minnesota will take on Auburn.
