Bateman leads Minnesota with 945 receiving yards, and he’s second on the team with 44 catches and seven receiving touchdowns. Bateman leads the B1G with 94.5 receiving yards per game and nearly 21.5 yards per catch. He’s also top 10 in receptions and touchdowns in the conference.
The sophomore has four 100-yard receiving games this year, but he had his biggest performance in Minnesota’s biggest game through the first 11 weeks. Against Penn State on Nov. 9, Bateman caught a career-high seven passes for 203 yards and a touchdown.
He’s on track to reach the 1,100-yard plateau by the end of the regular season and including Minnesota’s bowl game or a possible B1G Championship Game appearance, Bateman is on pace to set a new Golden Gophers’ single-season receiving yards record.
