Minnesota wrestler Gable Steveson has been named the winner of the prestigious Dan Hodge Trophy, presented to the nation’s top collegiate wrestler. The news was announced on Monday.
Steveson is a back-to-back winner of the prestigious honor, also claiming the award in 2021. He is the first heavyweight wrestler to be presented with the trophy twice.

Steveson just completed his third straight undefeated season on the mat, winning a second NCAA national championship. He was 18-0 during the 2021-22 season and posted a 52-match winning streak.
The Minnesota star wrestler is the sixth person ever to win the award for a second time. He’s also the first Golden Gopher wrestler ever to claim the award on multiple occasions.
During his career at Minnesota, Steveson compiled an 85-2 record with 3 B1G titles, 2 NCAA titles and 2 Dan Hodge Trophies.
