It took less than six minutes for Minnesota to encounter its first questionable targeting penalty of the season.

Junior linebacker Cody Poock was ejected early in the contest after this hit on Oregon State receiver Jordan Villiman.

The penalty came on the second offensive series for the Beavers. Oregon State scored on the drive, opening a 7-0 lead against the Golden Gophers.

Poock was an All-B1G Honorable Mention last season, recording 99 tackles in his sophomore campaign.
