Mississippi State WR Osirus Mitchell: Iowa ‘definitely not the better team’

That’s one way to handle a loss.
Iowa and Mississippi State squared off in the Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day with each team looking to end their season on a high note. Fortunately for the Hawkeyes, they were able to do enough offensively behind quarterback Nate Stanley.
On the other side of the ball, Iowa’s defense was able to stop MSU’s Nick Fitzgerald on a crucial fourth down. That stop gave the Hawkeyes a 27-22 Outback Bowl victory.
Despite losing the game, Mississippi State WR Osirus Mitchell did not back down with his postgame comments. He thought it was clear that the Bulldogs beat themselves and were definitely a better team than the Hawkeyes:
Osirus Mitchell: “We beat ourselves. They’re definitely not the better team.”

Unfortunately for Mitchell, it’s hard for that claim to hold water after the Hawkeyes took care of business on the field.
