Miyan Williams is currently not participating in Ohio State’s practices ahead of the matchup against Georgia. The junior running back is apparently “under the weather” on Wednesday after having a great practice on Monday.

Williams has rushed for 817 yards on 125 carries and 13 touchdowns this season. His midweek absence is exemplified by the news of running back TreVeyon Henderson’s season-ending foot surgery. Henderson reportedly had been batting that injury since Sept. 17 against Toledo.

This could be a big or little deal depending on Williams’ status for the rest of the week. Georgia is the best team in the country against the run, allowing just 77 yards per game. The Bulldogs have also given up just 5 rushing touchdowns.

Running backs Dallan Hayden and Chip Trayanum are behind Williams on the depth chart. Hayden has the most experience this season with 510 yards on 102 attempts and 5 touchdowns. Trayanum has rushed for 92 yards on 15 attempts and had a big game against Michigan.

Hopefully, Williams’ routine is not affected ahead of Saturday. Ohio State needs him 100% to upset the favored Bulldogs.
