Mohamed Ibrahim is making some noise after his season was ended in 2021 by a leg injury. He got an award for his offensive showing against Colorado.
Ibrahim was announced as the Reese’s Senior Bowl Offensive Player of the Week for Week 3. He had 202 yards rushing with 3 total touchdowns against the Buffaloes.
Minnesota went on to beat Colorado 49-7. Chris Autman-Bell, Dylan Wright, Clay Geary, and Bryce Williams were the other Golden Gophers who found the end zone before the final whistle sounded.
Ibrahim is running through defenses, and could be set for a 1,000+ yards rushing season. He already has 464 yards rushing and 7 touchdown through three games.
Michigan State is Minnesota’s next opponent. The Spartans are coming off an upset loss to Washington in Week 3, but won’t be an easy opponent by any means. The Minnesota defense will have to limit the running back duo of Colorado transfer Jarek Broussard and Wisconsin transfer Jalen Berger.
Michigan State and Minnesota kick off Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on BTN.
